Associate Pastor | Job Description




The individual would need to be an ordained minister or a licensed candidate for the ministry. They would need to hold to the teachings of the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Larger/Shorter Catechisms.

The person would work with the education and outreach Committees, but as an ordained minister would serve on the Session and would submit a monthly report (as Pastor currently does) to the Session.

This position is not necessarily a steppingstone to becoming the “Senior” Pastor once Pastor Bob retires. They may be considered for the position, but the intent is to call a person who is particularly gifted in the areas listed previously.

The deacons in examining our current budget and giving to the general fund have suggested that a salary package of up to $75,000.00 would be possible. However, the exact figure would depend on the age, experience and situation of the person called. And again, the exact amount paid this individual would be up to a final vote of the congregation.
